Nune Ayvazyan completed a PhD in Translation Studies in 2017 and is currently a lecturer (lectora) at the URV. She teaches English and translation at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Her research explores the ways in which translation can be used as a communicative tool in foreign-language teaching and learning. She holds a BA in English Studies (2012) from the URV and an MA in Translation Studies (2013) from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, where she also taught English to BA students in Translation and Interpreting. Judith Cortés is a professional translator, editor, and proofreader. As a translator, she specializes in the dubbing and subtitling of films, series, cartoons, and documentaries (DVD, cinema, and TV). She also works as a general and sworn translator and localizer for various companies and a proofreader and assistant editor for internet publications by the Open University of Catalonia. As a lecturer, she teaches Translation Technologies at the UAB, and Voice Over in the Master of Audiovisual Translation at the UAB and the online Master in Multimedia Translation at the University of Vigo.

Kevin Costello is a professional translator and author’s editor. He taught Spanish and Translation Studies at James Madison University in Virginia, United States, where he created the Minor in Translation and Interpretation. From 1998 to 2006 he worked as a translator, author's editor and teacher for the Language Service of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. He has been coordinator of the URV Postgraduate Programs in Translation.*

Sara Horcas is an Associate Lecturer at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili where she teaches translation. She has also worked in various teaching capacities at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in the United States and at Aston University in the United Kingdom. She holds an MA in Translation (2011) from the Universidad de Granada, an MA in Teacher Training (2013) from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia in Spain, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer-Assisted Translation and Translation Project Management (2016) from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She is currently working toward her PhD. Sara has been a freelance translator working from English and French to Spanish since 2013 specializing in international development.

Maria Rosich is a professional translator and teaches at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. As a translator, she specializes in fiction from Dutch, English and Danish into Spanish and Catalan and has translated more than forty books. She also translates videogames and documentaries, and has a wide experience as a general translator and interpreter in various sectors. She has worked for companies based in 34 different countries.

Judith Raigal Aran is a professional translator and proofreader with expertise in the legal and IT fields. She holds a PhD in Translation Studies from the URV, as well as a BA in Translation and Interpreting (2013) and an MA in Translation Studies (2014) from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. Carlos Teixeira specializes in translation technologies and works as a localization engineer for IOTA Localisation Services, Dublin. He has a PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies from Universitat Rovira i Virgili and Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2014). He also worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Dublin City University and the ADAPT research center (2015-2018) and as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Trinity Centre for Literary and Cultural Translation, Trinity College Dublin (2018-2020). Anthony Pym is Professor of Translation and Intercultural Studies at the URV and a former President of the European Society for Translation Studies. He works on sociological approaches to translation and intercultural relations. He holds a doctorate in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris, and has authored or edited some 25 books on translation, including Translation Solutions for Many Languages (2016).
