In 2003 the group launched a doctoral program in Translation and Intercultural Studies, open to students and professors from all over the globe.
The program has welcomed seminars by many of the most prestigious translation scholars in the world.
By 2013 just over 100 students had passed the coursework component of the program. In 2014 the program signed agreements for joint doctorates (co-tutelle) with KU Leuven. By September 2017, 35 students had successfully defended their doctoral theses, and our doctoral students had produced 19 babies (we have had a productive program!). Some of our students explain what the PhD has meant for them in this video.
In 2014 the program was absorbed into a wider doctoral program in Humanistic Studies.
The group continues to do research within its various research projects.
